Urban Safari - Sight your sunglasses for 2021

This season we go deep into the greenery to find the trends in sunglasses for 2021. We play voyeur and dust off the binoculars to spot urban trends and mix them with the best of the past to obtain our unique retro-chic combination.

In this article we will tell you all about our adventure while giving life to the “Urban Safari” collection and we will share exclusive anecdotes from the making off. The main protagonists were the oversize glasses and the angular glasses, very rocker and 80's style.

Read on to find out all about the real trends in sunglasses for this season!

Infallible styles in sunglasses 2021

TOM - Unisex, oversize and geometric shapes.

Oversized sunglasses or geometric sunglasses? Choose both, this year the most fashion catwalks are full of audacious forms.

In our Safari we found Jaume (@jaumecss) and Melanie (@melsukroo) with Tom glasses, the most futuristic model of the Charly Therapy collection. Unisex mask style sunglasses, with oversized frame, straight bridge, half-moon shaped lenses and total UV400 protection.

As always at Charly Therapy, we work as a team and collaborate with local professionals. Apart from the staff of our offices, we have a luxury photographer. We have chosen to work again with our beloved photographer @Eugegatti, she has been responsible for our campaigns photos for several years and we feel privileged to have her eye to capture the vintage essence of our sunglasses. Thanks Eugenia!

Tina. Feminine oversize curves.

We continue into the urban jungle and spot Tina's glasses. Audacious colors parade before us, bicolor pink and black, ruby, leo, military, shell and black.

The sexy curves of Tina Women's Sunglasses from Charly Therapy soften angular faces to give you that ravishing look you've been looking for. Tina will accompany you to your gala events and will complete your sport-chic look every day.

Melanie Sukro - @melsukroo and María José Guacarán - @mariajoseguacaran were pure chemistry in production. With super opposite styles they achieved a perfect ying-yang balance. Proving that oversize sunglasses, which will be a trend in 2021, will suit us all. Thank you girls!

Niza: maxi oversize and geometric.

Niza is the star of our Urban Safari, the key piece. It has everything to be among the best 2021 sunglasses trends: they are oversized pasta glasses with geometric frames. Inspired by Cannes, Saint-Tropez and Nice, iconic cities that set trends in the 50's. Celebrities from the world of cinema and the arts would gather there, showing off their most avant-garde looks. Steeped in this inspiration, our Niza sunglasses are born.

This production could not have been released without our wonderful team. Behind each photo there was always the watchful eye of our makeup artist María Jose Merino - @mj_mkup. Majo helped us by taking care of the skin of our models in each shot, to be able to recreate that refreshing summer glamor of the Côte d'Azur that we seek to transmit with Nice. Thanks Majo!

Jerry - a timeless classic

In this Safari there are not only bold sunglasses. You know very well, as lovers of the brand, that at Charly Therapy we believe on timeless classics. That's Jerry, with his familiar shape and colors, he will make you feel safe in this wild city. With their light medium, rectangular and rounded-edged pasta frame, he will give to your look style and protection thanks to their total UV400 filter.

What was happening behind the scenes?

Like you, we can't wait to travel again! . We dreamed of getting lost in the vegetation of a distant place, playing explorer, far from the gray city and the noise of the street.

But we know very well that now we have to take care of ourselves and our beloved ones. So, we went back to childhood for a little while and played the “exotic journey” within our territory. We found a privileged place in the heart of Barcelona to recreate a Safari atmosphere that we wanted so much this season, do you realize where is it?

Surely you have been a thousand times in the Citadel Park without entering this building. The Umbracle (whose name comes from the catalan word “ombra” that means shade), is a building designed to protect from the sun the plant species that in nature grow in the shade of larger species, especially in the tropics.

This great building designed by Josep Fontserè in 1883 gave us the opportunity to escape to the jungle without leaving Barcelona. We recommend it to feed your tourist spirit. Do not stop visiting it, we encourage you to share your photos in your feeds by tagging us @charlytherapy or using #urbansafari

Elisa: straight lines and angular shapes.

We reached the end of our Urban Safari with the fleeting sighting of Elisa's lightweight sunglasses. If, although the 2021 trend dictates it, you escape oversize glasses, we have an option for you. Our Elisa sunglasses are the salmon, swimming against the current.

Elisa's angular shapes and trendy colors remind us of the best of the 80's. Her vintage style, her lenses with total UV400 protection and her unique design make Elisa a feminine and bold sunglasses.

What was happening behind the scenes?

We have saved the best for last…. this year we have launched our first video campaign. We also launch our YouTube channel Charly Therapy . All this thanks to the magic of Santiago Marino - @sanmarino.films. Thanks Santiago!
